Meet Bayo
Bayo is the founder & CEO of NPC Labs, a tech company building a one-stop platform to create, monetize, and scale tech-enabled goods through its global fulfillment network. NPC aims to empower creative entrepreneurs and enterprises to build global franchises, eliminate counterfeit goods by tracking & tracing real-world assets throughout the supply chain, and protect intellectual property (IP) using secure blockchain integrations. Bayo is also a Partner & Co-founder at AVATIST, an AI company using interactive AI-generated content and avatars to teach and empower the world.
Bayo graduated from Princeton University in 2020, with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a certificate (minor) in Entrepreneurship. During summer months, he worked closely with Princeton’s entrepreneurship center, first as an Associate at the eLab, and then as an emerging Princeton VC supporting student entrepreneurs. In his final year on campus, he became the Vice President of Finance for the Africa Summit at Princeton initiative, where he helped develop the first New Venture competition for African startups on Princeton’s campus and received the Africa Summit Fellowship.
Bayo started his career as the first hire at Chaac Ventures, an early-stage, technology-focused venture fund investing across the Princeton University tech ecosystem. He soon became a prominent force in the Princeton network leveraging the power of the global alumni ecosystem to support visionary founders. Investments include FiscalNote (NYSE: NOTE), Booster, Overtime, CreateSafe, MIRA Imaging, and Limitless Studios.
During that time, Bayo started sharing content online as a part-time creator, eventually amassing an audience of hundreds of thousands of community members across various platforms. He focused on content highlighting mental & physical health, entrepreneurship, and the business of digital IP in the new creator economy. He channeled those learnings and the lessons he gathered into his first book: Life Lessons, Vol. 1 – 47 Tips to Transcend Your Education—inspired by one of his favorite investors, Ray Dalio, and his book Principles.
Following his role at Chaac, Bayo contributed to several early-stage startups as an Angel Investor & Advisor. Then a former 7-year VC veteran, he invested his capital in over 25 startups (about 1/5th in the emerging crypto space) and 5 venture funds. In the months following, he backed multiple startups in the growing blockchain and crypto sector (including EdgeIn, Layerr), and he started the StartUpRoundUp newsletter, covering his startup journey and top products in that community to over 12,500 readers. He later became an LP investor in notable funds including Microtraction, an early-stage VC fund providing pre-seed funding for African technology entrepreneurs, and Audacity (portfolio includes Roll, Nest Coin, and Afropolitan).
In addition, Bayo served as a co-host on the Blitzscaling a Startup podcast (a Chris Yeh and Reid Hoffman project) where he hosted a segment sharing insights with young entrepreneurs, investors, and first-time founders. He now uses his growing platform to share knowledge about the creative journey from 0 to 1, reprising his role as a co-host on a new web series titled “The Thinking Out Loud Show”.
